It has recently come to GG’s attention just what great value the Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-ray player is. This is Samsung’s second generation Blu Ray disc player, which now supports Blu-ray version 1.1 and is firmware-upgradable to v2.0 via it’s integated ethernet connection. This means that you should be able to keep up with the latest developments in the Blu-ray format, without having to upgrade your player. It’s also a great DVD upscaler, so you’ll still want to keep all of your old DVDs.
Picture and sound quality is up there with the more expensive players, and this can all be yours for the recession-busting price of £130! This even includes two free Blu-ray films - ‘I am Legend’ and ‘Oceans Thirteen’, bringing the effective cost of the player down to only £100! This offer is only valid until the end of April 2009, so be quick.

Gadget Gallery presents to you the iComfoot foot massager. We think it looks like some sort of futuristic anti-gravity contraption, but it apparently gives the best foot massage this side of Bangkok.
A satisfied customer writes :
Last year, whilst in China, I had foot massage done by an expert Chinese masseuse. It was so good that I could never forget it. I could not find anything comparable in London. When I located this product I decided to give it a try and am so pleased that I did! It kneads, vibrates, in such a way that you feel as if a live person is doing it! After 15 minutes on it, I felt as if I am walking on air!!
So there you have it! No more visits to the Far East required. I feel sorry for the reflexologists - all that studying books on reflexology and those courses gone completely to waste.

Just thought I’d show you all a bit of what you might have missed. I mentioned in my last post that I’d played this recently with a good friend of mine, and it had been the most fun we’d had that day. Which is no mean feat, bearing in mind we had two ‘next-gen’ consoles to hand.

Introducing the Yelpie (yes, Yelpie) portable outdoor safe. It’s an interesting idea, and one I’m surprised I haven’t seen on the market before. So it’s a keypad protected, weather-proof container that will only open using the preset code and will sound a 90dB alarm if it’s moved or tampered with for more than a few seconds. It’s designed to be able to store your usual ‘day out’ valuables, such as wallets, mobile phones, mp3 players etc. I estimate it’s capacity at about 2litres, so plenty of room for the important things. So this is the new Seitz 6×17 Digital.. the worlds first consumer 160 Megapixel camera. It starts at around £20000, and is probably the largest and most ridiculous looking camera i’ve ever seen. It takes me back to the days of the first video cameras.. you know, the ones which you had to rest on your shoulder, and gave you a bad back.
So, each image can contain up to 160million pixels. To put this in perspective, that means each image would be 7,500 x 21,250 pixels and require nearly 1GB of disk space.. an average digital SLR camera is around 8 megapixel. Fortunately the camera is Gigabit ethernet enabled, but then you better make sure your subject isn’t too far from your computer. I’m frankly bemused as to the uses for a camera like this, so maybe someone can enlighten me?
My question is.. how long before the first Gigapixel camera?

Well, moving on from probably the most expensive computer desk in the world , how about really eating into your lottery winnings and purchasing a PC to go with it? You’ll obviously want the best, and so you’ll be rushing out to get a Zeus Jupiter - around £375,000 at current exchange rates. You’ll be thinking ‘how?what?why?’, but then not all PCs come with a custom chassis made entirely from platinum and encrusted with jewels that map the constellations. The really worrying thing is that after you take away the £374,000 for the precious metals, jewels and huge profit margin, you’re left with pretty much any old PC.
